Forest Opera in Sopot is a pilgrimage site for many music and art lovers, especially during the holiday seasons. Tickets for concerts, cabarets, and festivals sell like hotcakes. Forest Opera in Sopot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The amphitheater in Sopot has over a 100-year history! Its origins date back to April 1909, when Sopot\u2019s mayor Max Woldmann and bandmaster Paul Walther initiated its construction. The first opera, “The Night Camp in Granada,” was performed in August of the same year. During the interwar period, Wagnerian festivals were organized here, attracting classical music lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located on the edge of the Tricity Landscape Park among the Oliwa Forests, the Forest Opera is known for its excellent acoustics and picturesque surroundings. After modernization from 2009-2012, the audience can accommodate 5,047 people, and the stage and orchestra pit are adapted for a 120-person orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This venue, known for festivals, concerts, and performances, has become a cultural symbol of Sopot. Since 1961, the Forest Opera has been the host of the International Song Festival, attracting music stars from around the world. Additionally, various music concerts, fashion shows, and artistic events are held here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently managed by the Baltic Artistic Agency BART, the Forest Opera offers not only summer concerts but also autumn-winter events in the Concert Hall, opened in 1997. This hall is home to the Polish Chamber Philharmonic, enabling concerts to be organized year-round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Festivals and Concerts at the Forest Opera<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many events are held at the Forest Opera in Sopot that we certainly associate with television screens. Since 1961, it has been the site of one of the oldest and most prestigious music festivals in Poland, the Sopot Festival (currently Top of the Top Sopot Festival). This festival has become famous for performances by stars such as ABBA, Boney M, and Julio Iglesias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is also Sopot Classic, a classical music festival that has been taking place since 2011 and attracts international artists and orchestras. Since 2015, the Polsat SuperHit Festival has been organized here, presenting the most popular Polish music hits and cabarets. This festival was previously known as TOPtrendy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the summer season, almost every weekend the Forest Opera hosts musical bands, orchestras, renowned musicians, and cabarets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  6. Top of the Top Sopot Festival \u2013 from August 19 to 22.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
