Remote work – that’s where it all started. Later, a question sprouted in the minds of many people: what if we could work remotely from different corners of the world? This is how the idea for workation was born.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Remote work was very popular during the pandemic. According to the Central Statistical Office, in March 2021 slightly more than 14% of employees performed their profession in this mode. Later, however, the situation changed and the number of employees willing to work from home decreased significantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there are some professional groups that do not think about going back to the office. The largest number of people working remotely is employed in the following sectors: information and communication, financial and insurance activities, professional, scientific and technical activities. Therefore, there is still a group of lucky people who can afford not only remote work, but also workation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is workation?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The word workation is a combination of “work” and “vacation”. It means the possibility of remote work in combination with holidays. How is workation different from home office? The difference is fundamental, because we do not work at home or in our favorite cafe, but in a typical holiday town, so while on workation, the employee does not really use vacation days. Mostly they work normally, except that they work from the windows of the hotel they chose as their seat, they can see the mountains or the sea. And after work, they can enjoy all the benefits of the place where they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workation can also be characterized by the fact that we constantly change our place of residence. This is how we travel around the world while working. There is even a term for this type of person \u2013 digital nomad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remote work by the sea<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The key issue in workation is to choose a place where we are able to be available to the employer (so a very good internet connection is important). Above all, however, the most important thing is whether the city we have chosen gives us the opportunity to relax, change the perspective, and even bring health benefits. If you live in a big city, without access to greenery and breathe polluted air every day, remote work at the seaside will be the perfect idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the advantages of remote work by the sea?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A change of environment gives us a breath of fresh air and thus affects our creativity. The idea of remote work at the seaside should also appeal to business owners who gain more committed employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staying by the sea brings many health benefits. The humid seaside air is saturated with elements important for humans: iodine, magnesium salts, sodium chlorides. Here we can breathe fully, oxygenate, regenerate the body. Anyway, the health-promoting properties of seaside towns have been known for a long time, who of us has not heard a doctor’s recommendation at least once in his life to go to a seaside sanatorium with frequent infections of the upper respiratory tract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to valuable air, its purity is also important here. In 2020, the Ministry of Climate indicated that the Tri-City (Gda\u0144sk, Sopot and Gdynia) has the lowest result of exposure to PM2.5 dust harmful to humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gdynia is not only smog-free air, but also a treasury of iodine. And this is very good news for allergy sufferers and people who struggle with frequent infections. A longer stay at the seaside will positively affect the body’s immunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides, imagine mornings or sunsets where you can run on the beach, walk or ride a bike. While basking in the sun’s rays, and thus ensuring a high level of vitamin D3!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
